Crooked Spine is opening a Halloween novella competition for completed horror manuscripts of up to 40,000 words. If you already have a novella waiting for the right home, we’d love to read it.

And if you’re feeling wild and want to write something new, go for it.

Our goal is to have the winner selected and under contract by late September, though that may happen a little sooner or a little later depending on the submissions. Either way, we’ll use the Halloween season to introduce the winner and start building excitement around the book.
